opera mini beta 2. 240x400 - Opera Mini is a web browser for mobile devices developed with Java ME. It was originally created for mobile devices with little memory and processing capacity. It currently supports the most mobile phones including smartphones. Version 5 of Opera Mini has been adapted for touchscreen devices.
Unlike most browsers, Opera Mini gets all the content through a proxy that runs the layout engine for the Opera browser. The engine on the proxy server reformats Web pages to the proper width for small screens. The content is compressed and then delivered to the phone call OBML markup language (Opera Binary Markup Language, Binary Markup Language Opera). The content reaches the phone with a reduction in size between 70 and 90%.
